Comments

The PA-31 Navajo was certified by the FAA in 1966 and deliveries began in 1967.  In 1971, Piper introduced the Navajo B with improvements to the PA-31 featuring air conditioning and additional storage lockers in the rear part of extended nacelles.  In September 1972 Piper unveiled the PA-31-350 Navajo Chieftain, a stretched version of the Navajo B with more powerful engines and cocounter-rotating props to prevent critical engine handling problems.  The fuselage was lengthened by 2 feet, allowing for up to ten seats in total.

We've owned this 1974 Cheiftain for the last six years as our personal family airplane.  As such, it has been meticulously maintained with no expense spared.  It looks and flies great!
