Mooney drivers share a unique and deeply seated characteristic - they like to go fast!  If a Cessna is akin to a Chevrolet and a Bonanza is akin to a Mercedes, then the Mooney is akin to a Porsche.  Mooneys are among the most efficient and structurally sound airplanes manufactured.  The low profile cross-section and laminar flow wings reduce drag to enable the fast air speeds typically unachievable in other manufacturers' airplanes with similar horsepower.  The tubular steel frame, acting as a cockpit roll cage, along with the wingtip-to-wingtip wing spar make the Mooney airframe the strongest and safest among GA airplanes.

The M20F Executive, first introduced in 1966, adds 20 fuel-injected hp over the M20C, 10 inches of fuselage length and 165 lb increase in gross weight over the M20C and M20E.   The 10 inches of lengthened fuselage is split between 5 inches of rear seat leg room and five inches of luggage space - making long trips much more comfortable as a 4-place airplane.

This Executive is a well-equipped single-pilot IFR aircraft with the Garmin GNS430 moving map GPS, and S-Tec 30 autopilot with altitude hold and GPSS roll steering, Century HSI, and Garmin 496 with Nexrad weather.  The roll steering upgrade, not commonly seen on "F" models, enables the autopilot to automatically make turns per the waypoints in the GPS's flight plan reducing pilot workload.  Together, with the new paint, leather interior, and stretched fuselage, the features of this Mooney provide a nice looking, comfortable, and very stable cross-country platform with performance that won't break the bank.

The owner will consider a trade for a RV-6A airplane.
