History

Dave Mathiesen started as an Aircraft and Powerplant (A&P) mechanic at Robbinsville, NJ in 1982 for Aeroventure which was a Cessna, Piper, and Mooney dealer. After nine years of learning the business, Dave opened his own business, Air-Mods and Repair, Inc., at Oldbridge, NJ. Dave developed a loyal following of aircraft owners that would fly-in from all points within the northeast and mid-Atlantic states. Needing to expand into larger facilities, Dave moved Air-Mods and Repair to Robbinsville in 2003 into the same hangar he worked out of in 1982. In 2008, Air-Mods acquired much of the assets of Northeast Aviation flight training operations at Robbinsville and Northeast Philadelphia Airport in order to expand Air-Mods into flight training. Dave and Lisa Campbell have now acquired a larger fleet of airplanes, their mechanics maintain their airplanes to professional standards, and they have staffed the flight school with some of the best instructors on the east coast.
