Start a whole new adventure!

We’re excited to host our sixth year of AeroCamp…and it gets better and better each year!  This is a special experience for those in grades 6-12 that they will remember and talk about for years to come!  AeroCamp is designed to give young people a unique opportunity to explore the vast and exciting world of aviation and aerospace at their local airport during summer break.  As a member of and Nationally accredited by the Flight School Association of North America, Air-Mods Flight Center is proud to participate in the AeroCamp Program and make AeroCamp available to the kids in our community.

Campers learn firsthand about the dynamics of airplanes and flight and about the broad spectrum of careers in the aviation and aerospace industry. We give every camper the opportunity to fly an aircraft if they choose to.  However, flight time is only a fraction of the AeroCamp experience and is not required to have a great learning adventure.

Air-Mods Flight Center is a family owned operation with a warm and welcoming kid-friendly atmosphere.  You will most likely see some of ours running around!

There are three levels of camp available: Basic, Advanced, and AeroSolo.  Each level is based on age, knowledge and interest in the field of aviation.  Generally, Basic Camp is suitable for kids in grades 6-8 and Advanced Camp is suitable for those in grades 9-12.  For those more serious about learning to fly, wishing to either prepare for the written exam or their first solo, the AeroSolo program with additional Solo Prep time is recommended.

Each camper will receive a logbook, an Air-Mods FTC t-shirt, curriculum, and certificate upon completion of camp.

Basic Camp

Basic AeroCamp is aimed at kids in grades 6-8 and offers a great introduction to the world of aviation and what makes planes fly. Our program includes several introductory flight lessons, rocketry and science lessons, and weather lessons. Other activities include a field trip to the Aviation Museum at Cape May Airport and the always necessary “hundred dollar hamburger”. This is the perfect week of fun and a unique opportunity for your middle school student.

Advanced Camp

Advanced AeroCamp is aimed at those in grades 9-12 and offers a more advanced approach to the world of aviation. This is also recommended for a camper that has previously attended Basic AeroCamp. This program will review any basic information that may have been covered in Basic Camp. The lessons are more in-depth and move more into the science of flying, covering more advanced maneuvers, while still offering fun activities such as the rocketry & weather lessons.
