Mooneys are among the most efficient and structurally sound airplanes manufactured. The low profile cross-section and laminar flow wings reduce drag to enable the fast air speeds typically unachievable in other manufacturers’ airplanes with similar horsepower. The tubular steel frame, acting as a cockpit roll cage, along with the wingtip-to-wingtip wing spar make the Mooney airframe the strongest and safest among GA airplanes.
The M20F Executive, first introduced in 1966, adds 20 fuel-injected hp over the M20C, 10 inches of additional cabin length and 165 lb increase in gross weight over the M20C and M20E. The 10 inches of lengthened cabin space is split between 5 inches of rear seat leg room and five inches of luggage space – making long trips much more comfortable as a 4-place airplane. This Executive, with very good paint and IFR panel, is great for the pilot looking for a fast, complex, cross-country airplane at an entry level price. The interior is very nice, the fuel tanks were recently resealed by Wet Wingologists, and it is ready to fly on your next cross-country flight!
